Resources: Archives — Past meetings · 2002Wednesday, March 20, 2002 Defuzzing the Fuzzy Front Endpresenter: George Walls "The Fuzzy Front End" is a term used to describe the sometimes-nebulous process to uncover and manage ideas and research prior to formal product definition. Our speaker, George Walls, NPDP has 22 years experience in technology and medical devices. As a person who has headed both Product Development and Marketing, he brings a unique perspective on how Marketing and Product Development must work together to define the products of the future. His presentation borrows from both his experience and from an upcoming book to which he contributed: Creating Breakthrough Ideas: The Collaboration of Anthropologists and Designers in the Product Development Industry, Greenwood Publishers, May 2002. Using several real world cases will enable George to make this presentation highly interactive. You will be challenged to participate to solving real problems after being presented a brief situation. George will describe what really happened and share the lessons learned. It will be an event that will challenge both experienced and new practitioners. |
