Hosted by:

Register Online Before September 20th & Save $5

Today many companies develop and distribute products on a worldwide basis.  This trend is accelerating as outsourcing of development and manufacturing continues and developing markets like China, India and Brazil gather speed.

Developing products in or developing product for global markets bring continuous challenges.  Business relationships have expanded globally to include developing products for multinational markets, managing distributed multinational product and development teams, collaborating with global partners for manufacturing and distribution and partnering for sales. In this program, executives from the San Francisco Bay Area talk about globalization and international challenges, as they relate to product management and product development. The discussion could include:

  • How to collect and prioritize product and market requirements for multinational markets
  • Handling communication with distributed and multicultural development and product management teams
  • How to deal with cultural issues when sourcing from different global locations
  • What are the key success factors in global new product development
  • How to avoid the "one product fits all markets" pitfall?
  • What tools can be used to improve development and introduction of products for global markets
  • How are global strategic alliances leveraged to deliver roducts to multinational markets
  • Can road mapping assist in coordinating the approach to global markets?
  • How do companies research the overseas competition?
